Subscriptions and purchases
I bought Nohmah but it's asking me to pay again
Open Nohmah, go to Profile and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the App Store with the same Apple ID you used to buy. Restore Purchases is also available on the paywall screen.
I got a new iPhone
Install Nohmah, sign in with the same Apple ID, and tap Restore Purchases. Your subscription or lifetime access comes with you at no extra cost.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, choose Nohmah and tap Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all payments and refunds. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
App blocking
Blocking isn't working
- Make sure Screen Time is turned on in Settings → Screen Time, and that Nohmah still has Screen Time access.
- Check that you've chosen apps to block in Nohmah. If the list is empty, there's nothing to block.
- Session blocking only runs during a Deep Work or Study session where blocking is turned on.
- Restart your iPhone. This often clears up Screen Time problems on iOS.
My apps are still blocked
Session blocking lifts automatically when the session ends, even if Nohmah is closed. If you use all-day or scheduled blocking, check the App Block tab: those stay on until you turn them off or the scheduled window ends. Turning blocking off includes a short 15-second wait on purpose.
I turned on Hard Mode and can't turn it off
That's how Hard Mode works. Once a scheduled window with Hard Mode starts, it can't be turned off until the window ends, and then it unlocks by itself. Outside the window you can change or turn off Hard Mode at any time.
Can I open Nohmah from the blocked-app screen?
No. Apple only lets that screen close the blocked app. Tap Back to focus to return to your Home Screen, then open Nohmah from there.
Sound
I can't hear anything
- Turn up your iPhone's volume and check each layer's volume in the mixer.
- If you're using Bluetooth headphones or a speaker, make sure they're connected and selected.
- If your headphones disconnected during a session, Nohmah pauses the sound instead of switching to your speaker. Press play to continue.
The sound stopped after a call or another app
Calls, Siri and other apps can interrupt the sound. Nohmah resumes automatically when iOS allows it. If it doesn't, press play. Your session timer keeps running either way.
Sessions, history and streaks
My history didn't move to my new iPhone
Nohmah syncs through your own private iCloud. Make sure you're signed in to iCloud with the same Apple ID on both devices. Syncing can take a few minutes after you first open the app.
Why didn't today count toward my streak?
A day counts when you finish a full Deep Work session or at least one Study focus cycle. Ending a session early, or only opening the app, doesn't count. Sleep sessions never affect your streak.
Privacy and your data
Your sessions, notes and blocked apps stay on your iPhone and in your private iCloud. We can't see them. To delete them, delete the app and remove Nohmah's data in Settings → [your name] → iCloud. To have the name or email you gave us removed, email us. Read the full Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
